In a Better Place
She bought and installed a new bed at home as her body shut down in her final months of life. This was not denial but an ongoing commitment to personal growth and an ongoing effort to leave things in a better place than when she found them. She grew in her ability to trust, connect and be a part of our community—becoming our own unit gossip queen/motivational voice. I also grew, bringing yoga and movement into our visits, a practice outside of my usual clinical routine. I hope she knows she left us better than when she found us too.
