Her husband’s love and support
She knows this is the best place for her to be now. Here on the palliative care unit, in the city, in such a different environment from her home in the country.
Filled with her teenaged sons, her husband, animals, nature, she tells of her husband’s wonderful kindness and support.
Since the beginning of her illness, he has calmly and kindly picked up those tasks she can no longer do.
She is amazed that they found each other, both coming out of relationships that did not work.
Amazed that he wants to be with her. Together they built a life for them and their children and animals.
She worries about him and all he is taking on to support her and others around him who are going through troubles.
She wishes she could help him more.
Her words of love, respect, and appreciation for him shine through in her story.
